We are sad to announce that on May 30, 2021, at the age of 94, Lorene Horton Cook of Brasstown, North Carolina, born in Cherokee, North Carolina passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lorene Horton Cook to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Horton and Dulcie Allen Horton; her husband Franklin Homer Cook; her son Franklin Steve Cook; and her siblings, Carl Horton, Ruby Coker and Shirley Stewart.
She is survived by: her daughters, Glenda Clayton (Ronald) and JoAnn Henderson. She is also survived by five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations are to be made to the Old Fashioned Baptist Church Benevolent Fund, 732 Floyd Stalcup Road, Murphy, NC 28906.
