He was predeceased by: his mother Millie Craig Laney; and his siblings, Janice Laney and Kenneth Laney. He is survived by: his father Fred Laney of Murphy; his wife Lorie Hendershot Laney of Brasstown; his children, Samantha Burgess (John) of Murphy, Shawn Laney, Andrew Mogileski of Monroe and Alana Radford; his granddaughter Vandora Burgess; and his siblings, Jean Laney Evans of Murphy and David Laney (Teresa) of Brasstown. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
