He was predeceased by: his parents, Fons Causby and Mittie Philbeck Causby Swift. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Gaultney Causby; and his son Thad Causby, Jr. (Dana) of Rutherfordton. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
