She was predeceased by: her parents, Norris Waters and Nixie Biggerstaff Waters; her son Keith Upton; and her siblings, Betty Secker, Francis Waters, Jim Waters, David Waters and Robert Gene "Bob" Waters.
She is survived by: her siblings, Edward "Bud" Waters (Barbara) of Bostic and Martha Hood (Harry) of Mint Hill; her daughter-in-law Pam Upton of Bostic; her grandchildren, Tiffany Arrowood (Matthew), Robert Upton (Amanda), Sonny Hutchins (Kara) and Jill Moore (Lance); and her great grandchildren, Thomas, Zackery, Kinsley, Evan, Wyatt, Makinsey, Meredith, Weston and Clara Jo.
