She was predeceased by: her husband George Edwin Brackett, Sr.; her parents, Rev. Ottis Cook and Vassie Towery Cook; her children, Judy Hunt and Eddie; her daughter-in-law Rita Brackett; her grandchildren, Joseph Hunt and Candace Brackett; and her sister Betty Willis.
She is survived by: her children, Christine Brackett Head (Randy) of Golden Valley, Ann Brackett Self (Randy) of Golden Valley, Marty Brackett of Golden Valley, Freddie Brackett (Sandy) of Danieltown and Tim Brackett of Danieltown; her son-in-law Joe Hunt of Golden Valley; her siblings, Marilyn Guffey of Golden Valley, Martha Houser of Golden Valley, Butch Cook of Golden Valley and Ken Cook of Rutherfordton; and her grandchildren, Jeanne Hulcey, Jonathan, Jason, Colby Smith, Monica Gurr, Miranda Baker and Jerry Allen Hunt. She is also survived by step grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
