He was predeceased by: his parent Alan Green; his son John Allan Green; and his siblings, Wonnie Hester, Frances Deaton, Nell Ryan, Jim Green and Bob Green.
He is survived by: his parent Mattie Green; and his children, Kim Tasker, Sherry Dickerson, Christine Rhinehart of Spindale, Rita Dixon, Lisa Locust of Lincolnton, Bud Green, Scott Green, Ricky Green of Lincolnton, William Green of Blacksburg, SC and Billy McElduff of Bostic. He is also survived by 40 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
