She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Baker "Bud" McFarland; her parents, Oliver Claude Waters, Sr. and Vassie Cook Waters; and her siblings, Louise Waters Lassiter, Callie Waters Whitener Wright, Lillian Waters, Nelle Waters Edwards, Eligah C. Waters, Bill Waters and O. C. "Shorty" Waters, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughter Brenda McFarland Toney; her son-in-law J. Philip Toney of Ellenboro; her sister Gay Waters Bostic of Laurinburg; her grandchildren, Donna Toney McDowell (Lee) of Garner and Allison Toney Byrd (Ken) of Garner; her great grandchildren, Mary Beth McDowell Perry (Heath) of Clayton, Noah Byrd and Hannah Byrd of Garner; her great great grandchild Mayer Perry; and her grandson Bryan Winslow. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
