He was predeceased by: his parents, James Samuel Carson, Sr. and Mary Sue Cole Carson; and his siblings, Marcus Carson and Susan Beam. He is survived by: his wife Becky Hunt Carson; his children, Seth Carson of Bostic, Thomas Carson of Bostic and Amanda Whisnant (Robbie) of Shelby; his brother Roger Carson of Ellenboro; his grandchildren, Jamie Whisnant, Samantha Whisnant (Brent Moore), Aaron Whisnant, Zephyr Carson, Grayson Carson, William Carson and Makenzie Carson; and his great grandchild Wrenley Moore.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Padgett & King Mortuary (227 E Main St, Forest City, NC 28043).
In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made in Jimmy's honor to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
