He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Roberts and Mary Pauline Roberts; his son Harold "Dean" Roberts, Jr.; and his siblings, Mary Newson, Sue Roberts and Ken Roberts.
He is survived by: his children, Marcie Burch (Brian) of Union Mills and Robie Roberts of Rutherfordton; his sisters, Lela Brackett of Forest City and Sandra Murvine (David) of New Franklin, OH; and his grandchildren, Dillon Burch of Union Mills, Nathan Burch of Union Mills, Jesse Burch of Union Mills, Bryar Burch of Union Mills, Nicholas Roberts, Dyllan Toney of Rutherfordton, Brittany Roberts of Rutherfordton, Rachel Roberts of Rutherfordton, Aubree Roberts of Rutherfordton, Amber Stephens of Forest City, Bri Henderson of Bradenton, FL, Emily Whiteside of Spindale and Jessica Green of Ellenboro. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
