He is survived by: his wife Colene Sisk Melton; and his children, Doug Melton (Wendy) of Broadway, Judy Crotts (Barry) of Shelby, Jo Ann Taylor of Shelby and Janice Stankiewicz (Bill) of Raleigh. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
