He was predeceased by: his parent Clyde Edward Herndon. He is survived by: his parent Lucille Townsend Herndon; his wife Reita Waters Herndon; his sons, David Herndon (Sheila) of Lake Lure, NC and Steve Herndon (Jessica) of Bostic, NC; and his grandchildren, Tanner, Brandt, Emma and Ella.
