He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Russell and Lillian Cole Russell; his wife Virginia Hardin Russell; and his siblings, Dupree Russell, Gene Russell and Ann Russell Cochran.
He is survived by: his children, David Russell (Anita) and Glenda Russell Bond (Robert); and his grandson Noah Russell Bond.
