He is survived by: his parents, Jimmy Layton of Bostic and Janice Layton of Bostic; his wife Daphne Layton of Rutherfordton; his children, Victoria Herzog (Devin) of Indianapolis, Victor Layton of Rutherfordton, Jimmy Layton of Bostic, Ryan Layton of Bostic and Aaron Lindsey of Bostic; his stepchildren, David Lane II of Forest City, Ray Lane (Ashley) of Rutherfordton and Judy Lane of Robbinsville, NC; his son Freida Bunnell of Bostic; his brothers, Ronnie Layton (Lynn) of Myrtle Beach, SC. and Johnny Layton (Paige) of Myrtle Beach, SC.; and his grandchildren, Caroline Herzog, Alva Ray Hunt, Dale Lane, Nellie Phillips, Carson Phillips and Dia Lane.
