She was predeceased by: her parents, John Thomas Harris and Bessie Lee Mitchell Harris; and her husband Arthur H. Hicks. She is survived by: her children, Linda Sims (Tommy) of Rutherfordton, Karen Hall (Rodger) of Bostic and Donald Hicks (Michelle) of Ellenboro; her siblings, Creola Jones (Casey) of Forest City, Helen LePage (Richard) of Lattimore, Pansey McCraw (Gary) of Ellenboro, Paulette Smith (Kirk) of Bostic, Deborah Crowe (Danny) of Ohio and Carl "Bud" Harris (Doris) of Forest City; and her grandchildren, Jamie Sims (Kara), Chris Sims (Shannon), Melissa Hamrick (Russell), Michelle Seagle (Manuel), Tracy Griffin (Dennis), Dereck Hall (Mila), Doug Stamper and Jordan Pierce. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
