With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan Billings Wagoner of Boonville, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 29, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Zeno Billings and Myrtle Vestal Billings; her husband Virgil Wagoner; her sister Jeanette Yarborough; her sister-in-law Kate Billings; her brother Kelly; her sons-in-law, Braxton Crouse, Joey Calloway and Kevin Brown; and her granddaughter Kimberly Calloway.
She is survived by: her children, Gail Waddell (Jerry), Betty Jo Crouse, Debbie Porterfield (Randy), Elaine Calloway, Kathy Putman (Jeff), Lisa Casstevens (David) and Tommy Wagoner; her grandchildren, Amber Tucker, Autumn Ormsby, Angie Shore, Greg Crouse, Brian Porterfield, Dustin Calloway, David Putman, Savannah Lynch, Matthew Brown and Zack Brown; and her brothers, David Billings, Jim Billings (Carol) and Dickie Billings (Kathy). She is also survived by great grandchildren.
