He was predeceased by: his parents, Ephraim Otis and Essie Holyfield Hamby; his wife Betty Walker Hamby; and his siblings, Dorothy Carter, Lily Hamby and Fred Hamby.
He is survived by: his children, Christine H. Huff (Richard) of East Bend and Michael Hamby (Sue); his grandchildren, Nathan Long, Ricky Huff and Tequilla Davis (Lance); his pet Sambo; his nieces, Gwen Washburn, Lynette Roberts and Tracy Muckley; and his nephew Kenneth Carter.
