With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wilma McDaniel of Boone, North Carolina, born in Statesville, North Carolina, who passed away on March 10, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Conway McDaniel and Barbara Robertson McDaniel; her sister Barbara McDaniel O'Carroll; and her brother-in-law John Patrick O'Carroll (Roy Lee Medlin). She is survived by: her son Franklin Scott Templeton; her daughter-in-law Carol Barnhill Templeton of Winston-Salem; her granddaughters, Sarah McDaniel Templeton of Charlottesville and Kelly Alana Templeton of Charleston; her brother Joel Kent McDaniel; her sister-in-law Janice Freeze McDaniel of Charles; her stepson James Medlin (Wendy); her granddaughters, Samantha and Lauren; and her stepdaughters, Sandra Medlin Hoover (Steve) and Joanna. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
