He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Tensi and Rose Marie Tensi. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean of Boone; his siblings, Marilyn Bennett, David (Terry) and Larry of Cincinnati, OH; his children, Barbara Marie Tensi, Steve Jr. (Ruth Ann) of Asheville, NC, Holly Tensi Townsend (Eric) of Fleetwood, NC and Jonathan David (Amy) of Blowing Rock, NC; his grandchildren, Derrick (Alyssa Pruitt), Brittney Tensi (Travis Potts), Amber (Doug Spitzer), Jade Tensi (Ryan Jackels), Alex (Katrina Tensi), Tori Tensi (Aaryn Drapiza), Nick Tensi (Olivia Miller) and Hadlie Nichols (Zeke Frye); and his great grandchildren, Mason, Graham, Sawyer, Eloise, Calvin, Nash, Franklin, Carson, Hayes and Rylee. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
