It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Ted Edmisten (Boone, North Carolina), who passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Abner and Virginia Dare Farthing Edmisten; and his siblings, Anna Lou Cable (Dwight), Clyde Edmisten (Mattie) and Claude Edmisten (Maxie).
He is survived by: his wife Martha Berry Edmisten; his children, Bruce Edmisten (Jennifer) of Zionville, Barry Edmisten (Barbara) of Lenoir and Jill Moretz (Roy) of Zionville; his grandchildren, Katie Robertson (James) and Paul Edmisten; his sister Peggy Sherwood (John); his niece Tina Rayfield (Mark); and his great-nephew Lucas.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Austin & Barnes Funeral Chapel (194 Queen St, Boone, NC 28607).
