With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rex Clyde Barnes of Boone, North Carolina, who passed away on March 23, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Rebecca Barnes; his son Vincent Barnes; and his siblings, Tom Barnes and Roberta Miller. He is survived by: his daughter Vickie Moore; his grandchildren, Dylan Moore (Lacey), Holly Moore, Colton Moore and Stephanie Davis (Josh); his sister-in-law Betty Sluder (Barbara Barnes); and his great grandchildren, Rowen Moore, Landon, Oliver and Abby Davis.
