She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie Ray and Cora Ray of Deep Gap; her daughter Amber Nicole Proffitt; and her brother Cleve Ray. She is survived by: her son Matthew Proffitt; her son-in-law Dylan Norris (Sadie); her grandchildren, Kipp and Maisie; her sister Myra Ray Hayler (David) of Boone; her nieces and nephews, Dakota Ray, Casey Ray, Tiffany Reece, Heather Ward, Marissa Million and Cheyenne Hayler; and her pets, Ringo and Bentley.
