It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Hazel Mast (Boone, North Carolina), born in Valle Crucis, North Carolina, who passed away on January 3, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Hazel; her siblings, Ray Farthing, Glenn Farthing and Katy Greene; her husband Mast, Jr.; and her son-in-law Lewis Anderson Williams, Jr. (Andy).
She is survived by: her children, Richard Mast (Kay), Susan Mast (Sammy Sambroia), Jeanne Winkler (Scott) and Allen Mast (Suzanne); her grandchildren, Toni Ferguson, Stephen Williams and Mary Katherine Osorio; her stepgrandchildren, David Winkler, Allison Winkler and Ryan Winkler; her great grandchildren, Hazel Ferguson and Aaliyah Williams; and her close friends, Ginny Whitaker, Laurel Gordon and Kasey Angell. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
