She was predeceased by: her parents, LeRoy Simmons and Thelma Gough Simmons. She is survived by: her husband Larry Carroll of Boone; her children, LeAnne Hilderbran (Mark) of Boone and Larry Gene Carroll II (Laura) of Boone; her grandchildren, Christian Richardson, Chase Richardson, Ella Carroll, Lilly Richardson, Bryant Carroll and Lynleigh Hilderbran; her great grandchild Walker Richardson; and her sisters, Carolyn Smitherman (Tom) of East Bend, NC, Martha Jessup (Dennis) of Yadkinville and Susan Simmons of Boone. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
