She is survived by: her husband Bobby Yates; her son David Yates; her daughter-in-law Roberta Yates; her grandchildren, Jillian and Sam; and her sister Mary Kemp. She is also survived by many loving nieces and, nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Holy Cross Episcopal Church (2945 Broadstone Rd, Banner Elk, NC 28604).
