With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darrell Wayne Greene of Boone, North Carolina, who passed away on July 17, 2021 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Burl Greene; and his brother J. B. Greene. He is survived by: his mother Gladys Jones Greene of Boone; his children, Kevin Greene (Vladina) of Charlotte, Kim Greene (Ben) of Boone and Keshia Brannock (Travis) of Boone; his grandchildren, Parker Greene, Sam, Wil, Abe, Gus Greene, Anna, Beau and Crue Brannock; his siblings, Lanetta Byrd (Gary) of Marion, Bill Greene (Sherry) of Boone and Robert Greene (Renee) of Boone; and his close friend Becky McDonough. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
