He is survived by: his wife Lucy Miller Eggers; his children, Loretta Cornett (Shawn) of Boone and Charles Eggers (Janice) of Statesville; his grandchildren, Jessica Hedrick (John) of Todd, Christopher Genzardi (Michele) of Austin, Tyler Moose of Statesville and Crystal Brown (Matt) of Vilas; his great grandchildren, McKenzie Hedrick, Augustus Genzardi, Aristotle Genzardi, Kasteel Genzardi and Darryle Moose; and his siblings, Norman Ray Eggers of Trade, Donald Eggers of Beaver Dam, Lucille Cress of Mountain City, Joelle Leonard (Roger) of Mountain City, Cara Johnson (Bernard) of Boone, Louise Moorefield of Abingdon and Juanita Eggers of Mountain City. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
