She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Brown and Addie Brown; her husband Clemon S. Watson; her son Jimmy Watson; her granddaughter Jessica Hicks; and her sister Mary Jo Cook.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Hicks (David) of Marion, Stacie Segars (Shane) of St. Augustine, Florida and Curtis Watson of Boone; her grandchildren, Avery Segars and Tristan Segars of St. Augustine, Florida; and her siblings, Shirley Arney of Morganton, Ruby Bryan (Joe) of Boone, Loy Greer of Boone, Luther Brown of Boone and Wiley Brown (Peggy) of Boone.
