He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Cornett and Cindy Swift Cornett; his former wife Jane; his son Mark; and his siblings, Carl, Lee, Pearl and Geneva.
He is survived by: his wife Carrie W. Cornett; his sons, Michael Cornett (Sandra) of Zionville, Jeff Cornett (Linda) of Zionville and Shawn Cornett (Loretta) of Boone; his grandchildren, Dakota Cornett of Lenoir, Tyler Cornett of Boone and Crystal Brown (Matt) of Vilas; his great grandchildren, Emmy Greene and Greyson Cornett; his stepgrandchildren, Chris and Tim Baird; and his stepdaughter Kathy Phillips. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
