He was predeceased by: his father Willard Lane. He is survived by: his mother Gladys Holder Lane; his siblings, Judy Lane Bell (Brad) of Moravian Falls, Ron Lane of Denton, NC and Mike Lane (Jennifer Leone) of Siler City, NC.; his significant other Sandra Howell; and his niece Tracey Bell Repetto.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Humane Society of Wilkes PO Box 306 North Wilkesboro, NC 28659.
