He was predeceased by: his parents, William Howard and Runie Bell Eller Ferguson; his siblings, Betty Jean Messick (Hoit), Marlene Michael (Jim), Reece Eller (Claudette), Billy Ferguson (Patsy) and Jack Ferguson; and his brother-in-law Tommy Hartley.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ann Beshears Ferguson; his children, Julie Ferguson of North Wilkesboro and Keith Ferguson (Jodie) of North Wilkesboro; his stepdaughter Kayla Lawreck (Lindsay) of Nebraska; his grandchildren, Megan Hall (Tyler), Travis Ferguson, Amber Broyhill, Holly Broyhill, Grant Ferguson, Savanna Broyhill and Anslee Madden; his sisters, Wanda Michael (Melvin) of Winston-Salem, Barbara Russell of Winston-Salem and Violet Hartley; his sister-in-law Iris Ferguson of Boomer; and also Colston Hall.
