She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Dean and Mary Elizabeth Elliott Higgins; and her sister Betty Higgins Pierce. She is survived by: her husband Barry Gordon Foster; her children, Julie Foster Leigh (Andy Leigh) of Gastonia, NC and Nathan Foster (Chaya) of Troutman, NC; her grandchildren, Elijah Foster, Savannah Foster, Morgan Leigh and Tatum Leigh; her brother-in-law Ned Pierce; and her stepsiblings, Tina Goodnight (Fred) of Trussville, AL and Ken Harrington (Gail) of Taylorsville, NC..
