She is survived by: her children, Jonathan Hayes (Marian) of Palos Hills, David Hayes (Catherine) of Chicago, Phillip Hayes (Jennifer) of Orlando Park, Illinois, Rebecca Kurm of California and Patricia Halley of Chicago, Illinois; her grandchildren, Meghan Caruso, Kelly Robinson, Ryan Hayes, Gerald Hayes, Jason Hayes, Jayme Conners, Jonathan Halley, Pamela Clark, Danny Keith Hayes, Steven Hayes, Sarah Hayes, Matthew Hayes, Kathleen Hayes, Mary Dalzell, Lisa Halley, Holly Kurm Titsworth, Joseph Kurm and Christian Hayes; her sister Gladys Gilbert of Wilkes County; her daughter-in-law Harvetta Hayes of Georgia; and her cousin Jay Carlton (Caroline) of Boomer. She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
