She was predeceased by: her parents, James Oscar and Hessie Dancy Porter; her husband John B. Hatton; her children, Jonathan Hatton and Sandra Thomas; her siblings, John Joseph Porter, Sr. and Argil Edith Pittman; her sons-in-law, Michael Douglas and Stephen Douglas; and her grandson Jason Douglas.
She is survived by: her daughter Joanne Douglas (Jody) of Boomer; her son-in-law John Thomas of Boomer; her siblings, Jerry Vance Porter (Shirley) of Hudson, Paul Wayne Porter (Debbie) of Hickory, Forrest Dale Porter of Boomer, Arvil Edsel Porter, Rebecca Evelyn Porter of Lenoir and Rita Faye Hubbard (Terry) of Boomer; her granddaughter Brandi D. Cook (Michael) of Granite Falls; and her great grandchildren, Ethan Clark, Logan Clark, Sydnee Cook and Dylan Cook.
