Ed Lee Carlton Sr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ed Lee Carlton Sr. of Boomer, North Carolina, who passed away on April 8, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Carlton and Ruthie Parsons Carlton; and his brothers, Edward Carlton, Damon Carlton and Alfonzo "Ben" Carlton.
He is survived by: his wife Sallie Carlton; his sons, Charles "Squeaky" Carlton of Boomer, Antonio Nigel Carlton of Boomer, Ed Lee Carlton, Jr. (Cheri) of Lenoir, Franklin "Toji" Carlton (Denise) of Savannah, GA and Dwayne Carlton of Boomer; and his sister Patricia Carlton Hendricks of Boomer. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home (270 Armory Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Chapel (270 Armory Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A burial was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at the Scenic Memorial Gardens (545 Moravian Falls Rd, Wilkesboro, NC 28697).
