It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Lee Mitchell of Boomer, North Carolina, who passed away on November 29, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roby Landon Mitchell and Sallie Pruitt Mitchell; his sons, Chris Mitchell and David Mitchell; and his siblings, Jeanette Billings, Shirley Sparks, Peggy Hudler, James Mitchell, Joe Mitchell and Roby Mitchell.
He is survived by: his wife Retha Mitchell; his children, Pamela Miller of Boomer, Sammy Mitchell (Jennifer) of Boomer and Shane Miller of Boomer; and his brothers, Larry Mitchell (Judy) of North Wilkesboro and John Mitchell of Hays. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
