It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard H. Edge (Bolivia, North Carolina), born in Columbus, North Carolina, who passed away on January 8, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Hobson Edge and Carzettie Faircloth Edge; and his siblings, Clayton Edge, Doris Edge and Helen Lewis.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Stanley Edge (Peggy); his children, Kelly Edge (Debbie Robinson) and Jo Ann Varnam of Brunswick County; his grandchildren, Richard Allen Ward of Brunswick County, Jesse Ryan Ward of Brunswick County, Lee Anne Edge of Brunswick County and Ashley Edge Jones of Brunswick County; and his siblings, Barbara Ann Barnes of Georgia and Douglas Edge. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
