He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Baron and Opal White Montgomery; and his brothers, Jackie and James William Montgomery (Bill). He is survived by: his wife Peggy Lynne Montgomery (Harrell); his pet Sophie; his children, Diana Merritt (Jimmy), Tina Long (Matthew), Beverly Pegram and Stevie Harrell; his grandchildren, Kari Peedin (Nick) and Tristan Merritt; his great grandchild Everly Peedin; his brother Gary Montgomery (Cindy); his siblings-in-law, Sherry Montgomery (Judy Brown) and Russell Harrell; and his nieces and nephews, Jonathan, Matthew Montgomery, Tristen Sparks, Preston Long, Connor, Colin Cagle, Ben Harrell, Tyler (Laura), Tabetha Harrell, Chloe Harrell, Stacie Scoggin and Cindy Montgomery.
