He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carl Tyner, Sr. and Emogene Townsend Tyner. He is survived by: his sister Debbie Tyner Clark; his wife Jo Ann Tyner; his children, Carla Tyner (Nathan Goulet) of Durham, NC, Benjamin "Brooks" Tyner (Rebecca) of Bolivia, NC and Zachary Tyner of Bolivia, NC; his sister Jenny McLaurin (Michael) of Wilmington, NC; and his pets, Chloe, Dante, Bella, JoJo, Kitties, Meow Meow and Mitt Mitts. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
