She was predeceased by: her parents, Brooks Townsend and Vida Walters Townsend; her husband John Carl Tyner, Sr.; her daughter Debbie Tyner Clark; and her siblings, Barbara Hendricks, Faye Moore, Vivian Hilliard and William Townsend.
She is survived by: her children, Carl Tyner (Jo Ann) of Bolivia and Jenny Tyner (Michael McLaurin) of Wilmington; her son-in-law James Clark of Bolivia; her grandchildren, Amy Clark, Carla Tyner, Brooks Tyner, Zachary Tyner, Peyton Hinson and Paige Hinson; her great grandchildren, Caleb and Bryson; and her sister Louise Risen of St. Pauls.
