He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Ernest Hardy, Sr. and Lillian Louise Hardy; and his brother Samuel "Sammy" Sanderford, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Misty of Bolivia, NC; his sons, Chris Hardy (Jennifer) of Raleigh, NC and David Hardy (Kelly) of Raleigh, NC; and his grandchildren, McClain, Bryson, Zander, Adam, Caleb and Emma. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
