He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Benton and Lottie Mintz Benton. He is survived by: his wife Mazelle Ludlum Benton; his sons, William Benton, Jr. (Tina) of Rocky Point, Kenny Benton (Judy) of Castle Hayne and Jesse Benton (Kerrie) of Delco; and his sister Julia Lee (Danny) of Ash. He is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
