We bid farewell to Charles Sloop of Bolivia, North Carolina, born in Kannapolis, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 17, 2025 at the age of 75. Charles touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles J. Sloop and Mary Ellen Beaver Sloop; his wife Connie Mills Sloop; and his sister Martha Ellen Sloop Mullis. He is survived by: his daughters, Shellena McCall (Clyde) of Fredericksburg, VA and Santresa Fulford (Michael) of Southport; his brother George "Kale" Sloop; and his grandchildren, Johnathan McCall, Joshua McCall, David "Cody" Holland, Riley "Dale" Holland, Dakota Culpepper and Kathryn Huey. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Peacock - Newnam & White Funeral Home (1411 N Howe St, Southport, NC 28461). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church (4843 Southport-Supply Rd SE, Southport, NC 28461). A burial will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Carolina Memorial Park of Concord-Kannapolis.
