He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ora Spencer and Willema Hill Spencer; and his brother James Spencer. He is survived by: his wife Mary Louella "Lou" Rosemond Spencer of El Paso, Texas.; his children, Erin R. Medina (Sophia) of Houston, TX and Charles A. Spencer (Suzanne) of Lexington, NC; and his sister Judith Ann "Judy" Spencer of Indianapolis, IN.. He is also survived by nieces & nephews.

Donations may be made to Cape Fear LifeCare Hospice or any local animal shelter.
