It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Shirley Suralik of Bolivia, North Carolina, who passed away on January 1, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel A. Groome and Beulah May Jones Groome; her children, Deborah Green and John Suralik, III; and her brother Donald Groome.
She is survived by: her husband John G. Suralik, Jr.; her children, Stephanie DeShields (Reggie) of Bridgeton, NJ and Michael J. Suralik, Sr. of Morehead City, NC; and her sister Florence Richmond of Dummer, NH. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
