Shirey (Bolivia, North Carolina), born in Sayre, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 7, 2018, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Rex Dewey. She is survived by: her parent Helen Traynor Dewey; her spouse Emory L. Shirey; her sons, Allen Shirey (Sharon) of Walkersville, MD and Brian Shirey of Ijamsville, MD; her siblings, David Dewey of New Freedom, PA and Andrea Lana of Finksburg, MD; and her grandchildren, Emma Shirey of Duquesne University and Mason Shirey of Walkersville, MD..

In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that donations be made in her name to Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 5269 Dosher Cutoff SE, Southport, NC 28461.
