She was predeceased by: her parent Richard Carlton Simmons; her grandson Christopher Seay; her great grandchild Alex Gore; and her brother Richard "Dick" Simmons. She is survived by: her parent Leonelle Cooke Simmons; her daughters, Karen White (Bobby), Cynthia Kinlaw and Sherry Seay (Rex); her grandchildren, Leslie, Scott, Anthony, Craig, Emily and John; her great grandchildren, Aaron, April Austin, Alexis, Cassandra, Anthony Glenn, Kolin, Kaylee, Taylor, Haley and Kylee; and her sisters, Joyce Singletary and Trudy Herring.
