He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Thomas and Billie Thomas. He is survived by: his significant other Lynn Thomas; his children, Josh Thomas (Ellen), Daniel Thomas (Sarah) and Jodi Powell (Drew); his grandchildren, Phelps, Foster, Zella, Sam, Sydney, Isaac, Lila and Luke; and his sisters, Linda and Lisa.
