She was predeceased by: her parents, William H. Layne and Lettie Lindsay Layne; and her grandson Jody Fox. She is survived by: her husband Daniel E. "Gene" Blanton; her daughter Angie Fox (Randy) of Boiling Springs; her granddaughter Cassidy Sims (Tim); and her great grandchildren, Henley and Hadley Sims. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
