He is survived by: his wife Marja Houston; his sons, Benjamin Houston and Brian Houston; his parents, Dean Houston and Nancy Houston; his brother Tim Houston (Karol); his mother-in-law Marjo Erickson; his sister-in-law Carlyn Detweiler (Phil); and his nieces and nephews, Sharra Houston, Lian Detweiler, Connor Houston, Erick Detweiler (Tessa) and Matt Detweiler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Dan's name to the Healthcare Foundation of Cleveland County to the Because We Care fund.
