She is survived by: her children, Gene "Rusty" Washburn Jr (Yvetta) of Rutherfordton, Charlene Washburn of Belmont and Sherry Washburn O'Shields (Brian) of Shelby; and her grandchildren, Corey Washburn, Sammie Washburn, Eastman O'Shields and Carmen O'Shields.
